Biography

Oumaima Laazaazia studied Virology and Molecular Biology at University Hassan II , Morocco, and is currently completing her PhD in the field. She has been affiliated with both Faculty of Sciences and Technics of Mohammedia and the Pasteur Institute of Morocco, where she conducted extensive research on COVID-19, including genotyping SNPs linked to susceptibility and severity to SARS-CoV-2 infection. Her work focuses on gene expression regulation and their role in viral pathogenesis. In addition to her academic achievements, Oumaima has presented her research at various scientific congresses, including the upcoming event in Uganda. She is passionate about genetics and molecular biology to uncover molecular mechanisms of infectious diseases. Oumaima has published 6 research articles and aspires to continue her career through postdoctoral research in infectious diseases.
